Programme category: Forest Row Film Society

Director: Anthony Asquith/A.V. Bramble, UK 1928, 101 mins, PG

"Anthony Asquith’s sharp-edged 1928 satire of the film industry, proves the lure of the behind-the-cameras drama is almost as old as cinema itself" The Guardian

A delightful, clever and audacious film about the film business, this was director Anthony Asquith's first feature. With Hitchcock, he is recognised as one of the masters of silent film in Britain, as his other films bear out (A Cottage on Dartmoor and Underground). A special screening with live music from Terry Davies.
