{"id":644,"date":"2012-06-23T11:22:06","date_gmt":"2012-06-23T10:22:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/forestrowfilmsociety.org\/news\/?p=644"},"modified":"2013-08-29T10:32:40","modified_gmt":"2013-08-29T09:32:40","slug":"new-extended-programme-of-childrens-and-family-films","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forestrowfilmsociety.org\/news\/2012\/06\/new-extended-programme-of-childrens-and-family-films\/","title":{"rendered":"New, extended programme of children&#8217;s and family films"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"text-align: center;\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Still of Cary Grant being chased by an aeroplane\" src=\"http:\/\/forestrowfilmsociety.org\/images\/nxnw.jpg\" \/>Cary Grant in <i>North by Northwest<\/i><\/div>\n<p>After the success of this season&#8217;s children&#8217;s films, Forest Row Film Society is delighted to be extending the programming for children and families.<\/p>\n<p>In the 2011-12 season we screened four films specifically aimed at children as Sunday matinees, plus a couple of others that had appeal to a younger audience in other parts of our programme. This year, that number is doubling to eight, and includes a wide range, from traditional English-language classics from the 70s, older films, such as <i>National Velvet<\/i> starring Elizabeth Taylor, and more magical recent releases.
