Georg, a Jewish German refugee, made it to Marseille under a false identity. While waiting for his papers and passage he falls in love with his ghost identity\u2019s beautiful widow. A story about the state of being neither there nor here, about shame, guilt and the urgency to do everything necessary to escape an oppressive system.<\/p>\n         <blockquote>\n            <div>&quot;<i>Transit<\/i> is perhaps his most mysterious film, certainly one of his more\naustere and challenging works.
