A subtle portrayal of the collision of East and West that occurred in Jordan during World War I, in which a young Bedouin boy is propelled into manhood in the space of a few days. Concerned with themes of survival and revenge, this is a tense and beautifully-filmed debut by English-born Abu Nowar.
