Saturday, 21 September 2013, 13:00
Venue: Forest Row Village Hall (see Locations and Tickets for further details)
Programme category: Forest Row Festival
Director: Buster Keaton/Donald Crisp, USA 1924, 57 mins, UDescribed as the most Chaplinesque of Keaton’s movies, the story follows the misadventures of two clueless socialites – Keaton and the endearingly gawky Kathryn McGuire – on board an otherwise deserted ocean liner adrift at sea. Sight gag follows sight gag as they eventually run aground and Keaton dons a diving suit to improvise repairs, emerging surreally from the waves to stun a horde of attacking islanders.
With live music from Howard Moody.
