“One of the finest thrillers made in England during the ’50s” – Time Out
An American Professor investigates a devil-worshipping cult who have been responsible for several deaths in recent months. When the Prof comes too close to the truth, the leader of the cult slips a cursed parchment into his research files. Director Martin Scorsese named the film as one of the scariest horror films of all time.
The second half of a double bill with Vampyr. Special discounted tickets are available if you want to see both films.
“A film that survives even its most unsubtle special effects to earn its place as not only one of the great films of British vintage cinema but also a classic supernatural thriller.” – Film4
Being a novice looking round your website I was not able to see how to book tickets and how much the double bill discounted tickets are for 31 October ?
I would want 2 tickets for the 9.30 film in any case so could they be left on the desk to collect on the night ?
We rarely offer booking in advance, and then only for films that are likely to sell out which, considering the capacity of the village hall, rarely happens.
So, turning up on the door will guarantee you a seat. The double bill just costs a pound extra, so is very good value. If you turn up well in advance of 8pm (ie if you want to see the double bill) there will be tea, cake and wine available from 7.30. Otherwise, if you just want to see Night of the Demon, please arrive at about 9.20 and you’ll be able to get tickets then.
