After the mysterious disappearance of his parents, Lepel or ‘Spoon’, a nine-year-old boy, must live with his mean grandmother, Koppenol, who gets him to steal buttons from clothes in a department store. Spoon manages to escape and hide in the store, with tough girl Pleun. Together they try to find his parents, helped by Max, a friendly sales assistant, and others. In Dutch with English subtitles.
