John Boorman’s affectionate semi-autobiographical film is a young boy’s-eye view of the Second World War. Whether watching the air raids and playing in bombed buildings or observing the adults, Hope and Glory is a warm-hearted recollection of growing up in difficult times. This screening is a special event for the Isle of Thorns Bowls Club. All welcome.
