A documentary which explores the career of legendary photographer and activist Nan Goldin and her efforts to hold Purdue Pharma, owned by the Sackler family, accountable for the opioid epidemic. It draws a connection between Goldin’s experiences during the AIDS crisis and her time in the opioid trenches. A powerful, inspiring and intimate portrait, weaving together substantial and vivid portions of Goldin’s photography and personal archives with interviews and protest footage.
