Diego Quemada-Diez’s (Ken Loach’s camera assistant) debut feature is a harrowing account of three Guatemalan teenager’s perilous journey across Mexico to try to illegally cross the border into the US. Emulating Loach’s realism and technique of using first-time actors and improvisation, this film explores the grizzly underbelly of modern day Mexico.
