“her greatest triumph is her life itself” RogerEbert.com
With impish charm and empathy, nearing 80, Agnès Varda explores her memories of Belgium, Sète, Paris, and Noirmoutier, using photographs, film clips, home movies and interviews with various people, her family and the famous to capture poignant emotions or an indelible frame and to explore what endures from a life of reflections and reminiscence.
“Varda loves the potency of the single photographic image, and the juxtaposition of that image, frozen from the past, with the uncertain, unstable present in which it is now being viewed.” Peter Bradshaw, The Guardian
