Early cinema before 1905

Early Cinema
No events to show

We regret that this event has been cancelled and will be rescheduled

The first decade of moving pictures was astonishingly inventive; new technologies and techniques were constantly invented, and the very language of film (close-ups, cuts etc) evolved and emerged. Within the international trade in films, Brighton and Hove were important centres and produced a large number of works. In this special evening, film historian Frank Gray will introduce a programme of early cinema, with live music.

We will also arrange a pre-event dinner at one of the local restaurants.
