“A radiant, oddball comedy-drama about the relationship that develops between a fat Bavarian tourist, an irritable black truckstop owner, and a weirdo artist” Time Out
After a quarrel with her husband in the middle of Mojave Desert, Bavarian tourist Jasmin gathers her luggage and stalks off. She checks into a run-down truck stop motel owned by a tough black mother of several teenaged children. Slowly they become friends and transform their “Bagdad Café” into an entertaining, successful place.
